| JOHN J. BURKE NAMED REGIONAL DIRECTOR FOR DRI – THE VOICE OF THE DEFENSE BAR |
The Defense Research Institute (DRI) recently installed John J. Burke as a Regional Director during its Annual Meeting held in Washington, D.C.
Burke has had 19 years of law practice and has been a DRI member since 1996. His practice focuses on professional and medical malpractice, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation and defense of civil rights (Section 1983) claims. He also advises hospitals and healthcare providers on Health Law matters. He has served as the DRI Idaho State Representative from 2004-2007. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Idaho Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) since 2006 and is the immediate past President of the IADC.
Burke will serve as a Regional Director from 2011-2014. He will serve alongside fellow newly elected Regional Directors.
DRI will host more than 20 seminars and dozens of webcasts throughout 2012 that will focus on a variety of substantive law topics.

| FARLEY OBERRECHT IS COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE IN LEGAL EDUCATION |
| In support of excellence in legal education in Idaho, Farley Oberrecht recently created the Farley Oberrecht West Harwood and Burke Legal Scholarship at the University of Idaho College of Law. The scholarship covers tuition and fees for a law student during their legal education at the College. The student receiving the scholarship award is considered the “Farley Oberrecht Scholar.” |
